Join us as a professional in consulting

Wide-ranging prospects for professionals. Would you like to take a step into the unknown, contribute your experience and take a new turn in your career? Fantastic – we’ll show you what you can expect in consulting at zeb when joining us as a professional. If you’re looking for the opportunities we offer, join our team and demonstrate your knowledge and skills. Our appreciative corporate culture values respect and fairness and offers you plenty of space to develop your personal strengths.

Our vision: As “partners for change”, we want to support our clients in boosting their competitiveness and adapting to the latest developments. Banks and insurance companies must be able to adequately fulfill their highly relevant role in society. And that’s where we come in.

What we offer

Career

What makes zeb special is its industry focus, which means that our consulting services are aimed specifically at the financial services sector. In our industry, we offer banks and insurance companies 360-degree consulting, so that you will be exploring a variety of topics despite our specialization. For example, we develop concepts ranging from strategy, regulation, IT and personnel development to digital transformation, digital assets, mergers, credit processes and much more.

From day one, you will have a personal mentor – your Career Development Counselor – who will support you in achieving your career goals. Depending on your position, for example Senior Consultant or Manager, you will take on different sets of tasks and the scope of responsibility will also vary. The level at which you start will depend on your academic and professional experience. Your career prospects include everything up to Partner level.

Salary and annual leave

zeb offers a competitive salary, composed of a fixed and a variable component. In Germany, you are also entitled to 28 days of annual leave for a full-time position. At our other European locations, the terms of employment may differ, and conditions adapted to the local markets apply.

Our corporate and work culture

In our teams, we live a corporate culture of mutual respect. For example, we all address each other by our first names as this helps to create a level playing field. What’s more, we work together, rather than in competition – cohesion and support among colleagues are an important pillar for efficient and successful collaboration. Therefore, we live by the basic principle of “reasoning beats hierarchy”. Whether interns, Consultants or Senior Managers, everyone’s opinion is heard in our project work.

In numerous Practice Groups, you can set your own specialist focus and find your thematic home base. These project groups, which are divided into topic areas, develop individual client solutions for specific topics.

Locations and benefits

You don’t have to live at one of our locations to work at zeb. We provide the technical equipment so that you can work from anywhere. Consequently, we also offer the option of working from home. Apart from appointments with clients, you are free to come to the office or stay at home to work.

In addition to your regular annual leave, you can extend your time off by means of various options. Aside from special leave or unpaid additional leave, you can save up for a sabbatical by using a deferred compensation account.

For parents, the internal WorkingParents@zeb network offers mutual support in balancing family and career. With “zeb.life”, we also offer support with childcare, eldercare and life situation management. You can find out more about our benefits here.

Your success is important to us

With a focus on the financial services industry, you will gain valuable experience from day one: this ranges from knowledge about the banking and insurance sector, and insights into fintech and insurtech start-ups, to information about other financial services companies. Experienced colleagues will provide you with valuable input along the way. True to our “stay and grow” principle and contrary to the “up or out” motto, every employee is given the opportunity to develop according to their own ideas..

Your Career Development Counselor
Throughout your career at zeb, you will never be without support, because from the very beginning you will have an experienced mentor at your side. This person acts as your Career Development Counselor, in short: CDC. Because of the experience they have already gained, they know the company well and have strong networks. So the CDC can advise you on any questions you may have about your career path and on other issues too. Especially during the first weeks where you will experience a great many new impressions, the CDC is there for you as your support.

Your professional development
We offer numerous opportunities to acquire further training and to expand your set of soft and hard skills. You can choose from more than 40 seminars, coaching sessions or conferences to further develop your skills beyond your project work. In addition to learning about technical topics, you have the opportunity to gain further knowledge through communication and sales training, agile project management methods, language courses or leadership training. You will thus broaden your mind and learn about new personal and professional perspectives which will benefit you all along your career path.

Your academic career
The zeb business school offers a variety of part-time Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses. You can also do a doctorate or take courses on topics related to financial services and obtain certification.

Your knowledge
The Web Academy offers all employees a platform containing documents and expertise of all kinds. Information is made available permanently to ensure a comprehensive exchange of knowledge. In addition, lectures are regularly held at the various office locations in Europe to present new projects or evaluated studies.
