With “Inside zeb: Women in Consulting”, we offer you a seven-month program that is specially tailored to you as a female student and allows you to discover a wide variety of areas in consulting (with a focus on financial services). Through one-on-one mentoring, inspiring events, and job shadowing, you’ll have the opportunity to build a huge network. You can look forward to exciting workshops that will help you to expand your skills and drive your personal development further. In a very short time, you will gain comprehensive insights into a leading management consultancy in the financial services sector and into the life of consultants. Seize the chance to gain experience, expand your network and gather valuable insights. And the best thing about it: you can complete the program alongside your studies without having to take a semester off.
The application phase for 2024 has ended. The next round of the programme is expected to start in spring 2025. You will find more information here at the end of the year.
"Inside zeb: Women in Consulting" is a six-month mentoring program for female students. The program contains separate modules of 1–2 days each. The participation is free of charge. We will of course reimburse you for travel expenses to the events or job shadowing opportunities.
Participating in the program alongside your studies, part-time job or internship is perfectly possible. Our face-to-face kick-off and closing events are held from Friday noon to Saturday afternoon. The remaining events of the program are largely virtual. The total program duration is approximately seven months. Entirely virtual participation in the program, however, is not possible. For the discussions with your mentor you should schedule about three hours per month.
The next program start is penciled in for spring 2024. The kick-off event will take place on 12th-13th April in Frankfurt, the final event will take place on 25th-26th October in Hamburg.
The individual modules of the program take place at the zeb locations (in Germany) as well as virtually.
The program is aimed at female students who have had no previous contact with zeb (e.g. through an internship) and will be held in German.
It is for female students from Germany, Austria or Switzerland who are at least in the second semester of a bachelor’s degree or at any stage of their master’s degree in an economics-related, STEM or IT subject. All you need to submit is a CV. If you make it through to the next round of the application process, we would like to get to know you personally in a short virtual interview. A final acceptance or rejection will be made after interview.
You can expect a multifaceted program with very different events and hands-on insights into consulting life. In addition, you can use our fast track in later (internship) applications and thus shorten the application process.
Networking, exciting workshops, cool events and profound insights into consulting: the 2023 “Inside zeb” program was a complete success! The program started in June with a successful kick-off event in Münster. At a joint lunch in the zeb Tower, the participants had the opportunity to get to know each other and talk to their mentors. After a welcome from one of the female zeb Partners and a lot of networking, the day was rounded off with dinner at Münster harbor. The next morning, it was time for a city tour through the old town and a cooking workshop.
The participants met up with their mentors approximately every two weeks to discuss individual topics relating to their professional and personal development.
Job shadowing was a key component of the program. The participants had the opportunity to look over the shoulders of our consultants for a day or two and get a taste of everyday consulting work.
In order to provide the participants with practical tips and deeper insights, there were interesting events on different topics which took place once a month. In a soft skills workshop, for example, they were able to take part in application training, delve deeper into project work in a session with zeb consultants and, at a keynote speech, learn more about how to push themselves beyond their comfort zones.
The final event took place in Munich in October. It started off with a workshop on personal branding. The mentoring tandems then held final meetings to reflect on the goals they had set and their expectations of the program. The day ended with a joint dinner. The final event was rounded off the next morning with a culinary tour of Munich’s Schwabing district.
