You are in the middle of your study program and would like to get deeper insights into the everyday life of consultants? Then our "Inside zeb: Women in Consulting" program is just the thing for you! We look forward to meeting you!
With “Inside zeb: Women in Consulting”, we offer you a five- to six-month program that is specially tailored to you as a female student and allows you to discover a wide variety of areas in consulting (with a focus on financial services). Through one-on-one mentoring, inspiring events, and job shadowing, you’ll have the opportunity to build a huge network. You can look forward to exciting workshops that will help you to expand your skills and drive your personal development further. In a very short time, you will gain comprehensive insights into a leading management consultancy in the financial services sector and into the life of consultants. Seize the chance to gain experience, expand your network and gather valuable insights. And the best thing about it: you can complete the program alongside your studies without having to take a semester off. Please note: The program is held in German. Therefore, a language level of at least B2 is required.

Contents
"Inside zeb: Women in Consulting" is a five- to six-month mentoring program for female students. The program contains separate modules of 1–2 days each. The participation is free of charge. We will of course reimburse you for travel expenses to the events or job shadowing opportunities.
Time frame
Participating in the program alongside your studies, part-time job or internship is perfectly possible. Our face-to-face kick-off and closing events are held from Friday noon to Saturday afternoon. In addition, there will a one-day summer gathering. The remaining events of the program are largely virtual. The total program duration is approximately six months. Entirely virtual participation in the program, however, is not possible. For the discussions with your mentor you should schedule about three hours per month.
Location
The individual modules of the program take place at the zeb locations (in Germany) as well as virtually.
Who can participate?
The program is aimed at female students who have had no previous contact with zeb (e.g. through an internship) and will be held in German.
It is for female students who are at least in the third semester of a bachelor’s degree or at any stage of their master’s degree in an economics-related, STEM or IT subject. All you need to submit is a CV. If you make it through to the next round of the application process, we would like to get to know you personally in a short virtual interview. A final acceptance or rejection will be made after interview.

Sneak peak into the program
Networking, exciting workshops, cool events and deep insights into consulting: since 2023, the “Inside zeb” program has been inspiring with a diverse mix. Here you can find a review of the various program items. Celina gives a personal insight in her experience report.
Kick-off event
At the two-day program kick-off, the focus is on getting to know each other personally: be it with the personal mentor or the participants among themselves - there is definitely enough time for networking! So far, the kick-off events have taken place in our offices in Münster and Frankfurt. The first day always ends with a dinner together. The next morning, the respective city is explored, e.g. during a city tour or a morning yoga session on the Main.
Regular contact
The participants met up with their mentors approximately every two weeks to discuss individual topics relating to their professional and personal development.
Job shadowing
Job shadowing was a key component of the program. The participants had the opportunity to look over the shoulders of our consultants for a day or two and get a taste of everyday consulting work.
Workshops and speeches
To give the participants practical tips and deeper insights, an exciting deep dive on a specific topic takes place every month during the program. For example, the participants were able to practise their programming skills in an AI boot camp or complete job application training. Soft skills were developed in a quick-wittedness workshop or during an exchange on the topic of how to push themselves beyond their comfort zones.
Final event
The two-day conclusion offers many opportunities to reflect on the experiences during the program: the respective mentoring tandems come together for their final meetings to discuss the goals and expectations set for the program. The networks with the mentors and between the participants are deepened and a new thematic focus is also set. In 2024, for example, there was a practical workshop on “Objectives & Key Results for Life”. The second day again offers time to explore the location, e.g. on a culinary city tour.
