You are interested in the interplay of business and information technology? You want to study and gain practical experience at the same time? Then our Münster-based integrated degree program in business informatics is just the right thing for you. You will study part-time in the integrated system on two fixed days a week and work on current IT projects together with our team on the other three days. Sounds exciting? It is!

Your studies will take a total of 3.5 years. The program consists of two parts: you will attend courses at FOM Münster on two days a week and work on exciting zeb IT projects on the other three days. Throughout, your team and especially your CDC will support you. The latter will be selected by us from among our experienced employees. They will be responsible for planning your project assignments and keeping an eye on your career. Your mentor will be another integrated degree student who is further along in their studies. They will support you, in particular, during the early stages of your program and be your contact person for any questions that may arise regarding your studies.
Exciting challenges and development opportunities will await you in your first year. As part of our dynamic team, your focus will be on the further development of our zeb.control software and the creation of customized solutions for our clients. In collaboration with dedicated colleagues, you will identify weak spots, implement best practices and actively shape new features.
What’s special about your job? You can be really creative! Your ideas will be actively incorporated into the development of digital solutions – from small tools to comprehensive applications. You will be an important part of a committed and communicative team that values a culture of independent work and open feedback and allows you to hone your skills and work on challenging projects together with your colleagues.
In the second year, the exciting journey will continue and you will become an IT consulting expert. You will support our clients on their way into the world of our software by connecting data sources to the software and conducting regular evaluations. In doing so, you will play a critical role in implementing client requirements in the area of data analytics and creating customized solutions to leverage the full data potential.
Additionally, you will have the great opportunity to visit our clients, which will give you valuable insights and perspectives.
In the third year, you will be able to choose your specialization: software development or IT consulting with a focus on software implementation. This will allow you to acquire exactly the knowledge and skills that are crucial for your professional future.
In the seventh semester, you will complete your studies with your Bachelor’s thesis. You can count on our professional support to make it a full success. Your thesis will be the culmination of your integrated degree program and the starting point for a promising career in the exciting world of software development and/or IT consulting. We offer an integrated Bachelor’s degree program in business informatics with the option to specialize either in software development or in IT consulting. These two career fields have fundamental similarities and place similar demands on your technical skills, professional expertise and personality. Like all other zeb colleagues, you receive 28 days of vacation per year. In addition, we cover your tuition fees and compensate you for your working hours.

"The start came with a steep learning curve, because I was allowed to take on real tasks from the team right from the beginning. This made me feel like a valued member of the team after a short time. Various seminars and learning units during the first weeks at zeb also prepare you well for university and everyday work."
What tasks do you complete as an integrated degree student?
"I currently support IT consulting, primarily in the area of hedge accounting for banks, for example by conducting analyses, evaluations and preparing documents for my team lead. In addition, I work on smaller projects for insurance companies, where I independently do programming work or prepare presentations and documents for client meetings."
