Your tasks:
Regulatory Reporting & Supervisory Frameworks
- You advise banks on regulatory reporting and supervisory requirements, including:
- FINREP, COREP, Pillar 3 reporting
- BIRD / IReF and integrated regulatory data models
- Design of modern reporting architectures and data flows
- You support banks in regulatory interactions and supervisory readiness, for example:
- ECB onboarding and ongoing ECB supervision (SSM)
- Preparation and follow-up of On-Site Inspections (OSI)
- Audit support and remediation of regulatory findings
- You contribute to key prudential topics such as:
- CRR / Basel implementation
- RWA calculation, optimization and steering
- EBA / ECB stress testing
- You work on data and reporting frameworks:
- BCBS 239 / RDARR (data aggregation & reporting quality)
- Data governance, lineage and controls
- You support initiatives in Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP)
Accounting & Finance Transformation
- You advise on accounting for financial instruments and its regulatory interaction, especially:
- IFRS 9 (classification & measurement)
- Impairment / Expected Credit Loss (ECL)
- Hedge Accounting & Risk Mitigation Accounting
- You support the alignment of Accounting, Risk and Regulatory Reporting:
- Integrated finance & risk architectures
- Reconciliation between accounting and regulatory views
- You contribute to the optimization of finance and closing processes:
- Design of target operating models in Finance
- Improvement of reporting and controlling processes
- You are involved in system and data implementations, including:
- SAP consulting (e.g. S/4HANA Finance, SAP FPSL, SAC)
- Finance and regulatory reporting platforms
- End-to-end data flows from source systems to reporting
Transformation & Integration
- You translate complex regulatory and accounting requirements into practical solutions:
- Process design across Risk, Finance and Reporting
- Data and system architecture decisions
- Automation and efficiency improvements
- You contribute to cross-functional transformation programs (e.g. finance transformation, ESG reporting, digitalization)
- With increasing experience, you will:
- present results to senior stakeholders
- manage workstreams and (sub-)projects
- contribute to business development and thought leadership
Your skills:
- Academic background: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a quantitative/MINT discipline (Master or PhD preferred)
- First relevant experience (internships or entry-level roles) in:
- banking, consulting, auditing or finance functions
- accounting, regulatory reporting or risk
- Interest in BOTH regulatory & accounting topics, e.g.:
- Regulatory Reporting (FINREP, COREP, BIRD, IReF)
- CRR / Basel / RWA or stress testing
- IFRS 9, Impairment, Hedge Accounting
- Interaction between Risk, Finance and Reporting
- Affinity for data & systems: Interest in SAP solutions, data models and reporting tools
- Strong analytical and structured thinking
- Team spirit & communication skills
- Languages: Fluency in English and German (additional languages are a plus)
