Our application process

Are you wondering what the application process is like at zeb and do you want to know what you can expect from us? Then this is the place for you.  

Step 1 | Online application 

Basically, it all begins with a look at our career website. So you’ve already started. If you find a suitable position on our job board, you can register in our online portal. Here you have the option to register with your profile (7–10 minutes) or to apply directly (3–5 minutes). Creating an individual application profile allows you to view the current status of your application at any time. Since our application process is based entirely on our career website, we ask you to refrain from applying by e-mail. 

What information do we need from you?

  • Contact information
  • Resume (maximum 5 MB) with information about your academic background, grade point average and previous practical experience 
  • Cover letter (maximum 5 MB) is optional, but provides additional information about your person and motivation 
  • Other attachments such as school and academic certificates including grade overview and certificates of work experience
  • Your consent to our privacy policy, which you can view in our application tool

Step 2 | Screening

After you have uploaded your complete application documents via the portal, you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt from us. And then the ball is in our court: we will examine your application and after a thorough review together with the specialist department we will decide how to continue. We will try to get back to you as soon as possible - usually within a week. If you have created an application profile, you can check the current status of your application there at any time.

If your application matches the advertised position, you will receive an email from us to initiate the coordination of scheduling for the subsequent interviews. Depending on the position, the e-mail may also contain an invitation to the zeb online assessment.

Step 3a | 
zeb-Online-Assessment

For our entry-level positions in consulting within the DACH region (Consultant/Analyst), the next step is to complete our online assessment. This does not include positions at our subsidiaries findic and applied by zeb.  
You can expect an approx. 70-minute test procedure tailored to zeb, which is designed to give you an authentic insight into the zeb world. At the same time, the tests selected will ensure a high level of objectivity and standardization. You can expect a cognitive performance test and a job-related personality test, which will give us a valid insight into the skills that are relevant to us. 

 

 

Step 3b | 
Interviews

Depending on the area and position, we reserve the right to conduct an optional initial interview with colleagues from the Talent Attraction team or the specialist department.
As a rule, however, we conduct a total of three consecutive (virtual) interviews in one day (approx. 1h/interview). In rare cases, the interviews are split over several days. These interviews take place with colleagues from the specialist area and aim to find out whether you are a good fit for us with your professional profile and personality. The specialist interview for our positions in Consulting also focuses on working on at least one case study. The case study will give you an insight into typical tasks at zeb. Your work will show us how you structure and solve complex problems and present the results. As a rule, no case study is provided for positions in Corporate Functions.

Step 4 | Decision

Followed by the interviews, the interviewers exchange thoughts and make a decision. One of them will then give you feedback by telephone within a few days.

Step 5 | Offer of contract

If you convince us in the interviews, we will prepare a contract offer, giving you 14 days to review it. If you have any questions, please get in touch with us.

Step 6 | Conclusion of contract

The application process is almost complete with the contract offer. We have decided in your favor. If you have also made your decision to join zeb, sign the contract and send it back to us. This concludes the application process. We are now preparing everything for your onboarding and look forward to welcoming you to zeb.

In total, the application process takes about 4 to 6 weeks.
