Take a look behind the scenes!
Enthusiasm for all things new, that’s what you’ll need first and foremost during your internship at zeb. We are looking for people who like to question the status quo and inspire others with their ideas. Gain profound insight into the day-to-day work of a consultant and discover the world of financial services. We look forward to making your internship an exceptional experience.
What we offer
Your mentor, whom we refer to as your CDC, will help you get started. Your daily work routine will consist of a good balance between working at the client’s site, in the zeb office or from home. Ideally, you’ll set off for your project and get a taste of consulting on the first day of your internship. Your field of activity will vary depending on the project. Based on your previous experience and your major fields of study, we will find the best match for you. During the internship you will be a temporary consultant and support the project team as a full member—with all the rights and responsibilities and on an equal footing.
During your time at the client’s site you—like all other project members—will receive work packages to work on. Your tasks include, for example, helping to design and document client workshops, researching and analyzing various topics and creating presentations. As time goes by you will take on more and more responsibility. In addition to the project, you may also be involved in sales or innovation topics.
In Germany, we pay you a gross salary of currently €2,150 per month—regardless of whether you are doing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. At our other European locations, salaries are in line with market rates. In addition, you will get two days of vacation per full month of internship.
Exchange ideas with others who are currently doing an internship or have been working at zeb for a longer period. For this purpose, we organize events and get-togethers for interns. In the offices, you can make new friends at the football table at any time or network with everyone in the office over a beer after work on Friday. Special highlights include the zeb-wide events zeb.Uni and the Christmas party. Here, zeb staff from all locations meet in Münster to exchange knowledge and celebrate together. Find out what other benefits you can expect in an internship by clicking here.
We also offer internships at our locations abroad. Often the project language is the national language. Good command of the language is therefore necessary for an internship.
With knowledge of the national language as well as German and English (both at C1/C2 level) you can do an internship in the following countries:
- Germany
- Austria
- Switzerland
- The Netherlands
- Luxembourg (French)
If you speak English and the national language of one of the following countries (at C1/C2 level), you can also do an internship here:
- Italy
- Sweden
- Poland
Outstanding commitment during your internship pays off at zeb. If you complete an excellent internship with us, you will be invited to join the zeb.talents program. This enables you to keep in touch with zeb during your studies, exchange ideas with experienced consultants on specialist topics and take part in exciting events. You can find more information about the zeb.talents program on our website.
Consulting is still a male-dominated industry – we want to change this! Our women@zeb initiative offers an extensive network of contacts among female consultants with regular network meetings, which you can also attend during your internship. You can find more information about the initative on our website.
What we expect
We are looking for people who achieve very good results in their studies, integrate well into teams, take responsibility, express their views convincingly and like to think one step further than others. If you have already gained practical experience in consulting through other internships or volunteer work and have a passion for financial services, we look forward to meeting you.
- You enjoy questioning the status quo as a team.
- You are curious, reliable and team-oriented.
- Bachelor’s degree from the 4th semester or already in your Master’s program.
- Initial practical experience in consulting or in the financial sector is beneficial, but not essential.
- 2–3 months’ time for a full-time internship
- You do not need to be enrolled during the internship if you are taking a gap year between your Bachelor’s and Master’s.
- Valid work and residence permit for the country where you want to do your internship
- You are fluent in English, ideally German and the respective national language.
