Your internship in the Corporate Functions

Your look behind the scenes. The most important thing for an internship at zeb is you—because you have a passion for discovering, trying out and developing new things. We are looking for people who like to question the status quo and inspire others with their ideas. It doesn’t matter whether you are studying for your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or having a gap year. With us you can choose from a variety of offers. We give you the chance to discover new fields and delve deep into the topic. Discover the world of management consulting for yourself. What we offer

Program

In Corporate Services, we lay the groundwork from the very beginning so that you can develop to your full potential as an intern. On the first day of your internship, your supervisor will welcome you to our office to make sure you get off to a good start. This is followed by initial meetings with colleagues as well as introductions to the work processes and tools to be used. Little by little you will take on your own work packages and increasing responsibility. For us, you are a full-fledged team member, because our culture is characterized by appreciative interaction on an equal footing.

You will usually spend your working days in the office or working from home. In some areas (e.g. Talent Attraction) you may be asked to assist with external assignments from time to time and to travel for a few days.

Salary and annual leave

In Germany, we pay you a gross salary of currently €2,150 per month—regardless of whether you are doing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. In addition, you will get two days of vacation per full month. At zeb, working hours are based on trust, so that you can arrange your working hours flexibly.

What we expect

Who we are looking for

We are looking for people with good academic achievements, who are team players, have the courage to take on responsibility and who enjoy innovating. If you have already gained your first practical experience and taken part in voluntary extra-curricular activities, we look forward to getting to know you!

You are studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
Initial practical experience in the relevant field.
You are curious, reliable and team-oriented.
You enjoy questioning the status quo as a team.

Requirements

You are available for at least three months and up to six months for a full-time internship.
You speak German and English fluently.
You do not need to be enrolled during the internship if you do not yet have a Master’s degree.

Typical daily routine

Kira and Alina are interns in the Talent Attraction department. Join them as they go about their daily work and get an insight into what they do.

Getting to the office

8:15 a.m.: Kira and Alina arrive at the office in Münster by bicycle, as is common for people who work in Münster.

Scheduling

8.30 a.m.: Once they arrive at their desk, Kira and Alina first of all check their upcoming appointments, tasks and e-mails. Depending on what is requested, they assist with a variety of projects. Mostly this is research work or preparations for events and workshops.

Applications and job advertisements

9:30 a.m.: Every day, Kira and Alina sift through the new applications received for the internship or student assistant positions and check them against selection criteria. They also update our job postings on the various job boards to ensure that new applications continue to come in for open positions.

Wrapping and shipping packages

11:00 a.m.: Then it’s time to wrap packages – Kira and Alina are in charge of providing giveaways and equipping exhibition stands for upcoming fairs and events.

Lunch break

12:00 p.m.: Kira and Alina spend their lunch breaks with other colleagues in zeb’s own café, the zeb.roestbar, or on the adjacent rooftop terrace.

Discussing the applications received

2:00 p.m.: The applications received in the morning are now reviewed with the recruiting manager.

Online meetings

3:00 p.m.: Video conferences with team members are often scheduled in the afternoon. In addition, our interns have the opportunity to participate in job interviews.

Done for the day

5:00 p.m.: After so much variety, it is now time to call it a day, and Kira and Alina set off for home.
